Excitement is building in anticipation of February 7th when thousands of people will pack into Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California for Super Bowl 50!
On top of the actual event, there is also a weeklong series of events for the public to enjoy including the NFL Experience and the Super Bowl City fan village. People of all ages can take part in activities that celebrate the game of football and the live entertainment, food and drink that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer.
With so much going on, public safety agencies in the Bay Area are determined to provide both residents, visitors and game attendees with the most relevant and real-time safety information during the build up to the game. The Santa Clara Police Department, operating the Joint Information Center (JIC) for Super Bowl 50 will offer subscribers critical safety, severe weather, traffic and emergency alerts via Nixle. The alerts, powered by Nixle Community Engagement from Everbridge, are part of the Bay Area’s commitment to safety and security for the Super Bowl.
