Data Management

Data Automation

Everbridge puts your organization in control of your preferred data management methodology by providing six methods for getting contact data into the Everbridge system, including three automated options. All options can be used in parallel and can be leveraged interchangeably to support multiple data sources.

Data Migration Wizard

Let the Everbridge Data Migration Wizard upload and manage your data for you. Automate data uploads and synchronization with existing data sources, such as your ERP system or Microsoft Active Directory. Using Everbridge Data Migration Wizard, you can add, modify, and delete contact data on an hourly, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis without human intervention. Schedule data uploads to occur automatically on a recurring basis or manually launch updates on the fly.

Typical use: An organization needs to communicate with a large base of employees that changes daily, making manual updates a tedious process. The organization sets its human resources database to create a CSV file every night at 8:00 PM and store it on a network server, then configures Everbridge Data Migration to retrieve the file from the network server at 9:00 PM and automatically upload the contents of the file into the Everbridge system. Once the process is complete, the data is immediately available for use.

API Integration

Get real-time data updates by integrating Everbridge with existing systems via Application Programming Interface (API) data integration. Add, modify, and delete automation support, which requires SOAP API programming for optional real-time synchronization. The Everbridge Member API accepts XML-formatted documents containing actions and input parameters and returns an XML-formatted output for each record processed.

Typical use: Many organizations have existing websites on their intranets that allow employees to maintain business contact information (such as office phone extensions, cell phones, and business emails) and wish to collect additional personal contact data (such as personal cell phone numbers and email addresses) for emergency purposes. The easiest method to gather more data is to simply extend the existing site to include additional contact paths, then integrate to the Everbridge Member API so that data is automatically uploaded into the Everbridge system at the time of entry. Instead of having a weekly or nightly automated upload, the data is continually trickled to Everbridge as employees update personal contact data for up-to-the-minute synchronization.

Everbridge SmartRegistration™ Portals

Imagine how much easier it would be to keep people safe if they told you how to contact them – at home, at work, in the car, and more – and what type of information they want to receive from you. The customizable Everbridge SmartRegistration portal enables people to provide the information you need and keep it up to date. You get more accurate contact information with none of the data management hassles and better information for sending meaningful, targeted messages.

Typical use: An organization such as a city or university has limited or no contact information for a large number of people they must protect in an emergency. Using a self-registration portal accessible directly from the city's website or the university's student portal, citizens and students may subscribe to receive alerts and provide additional contact information for cell phones, text messaging, work phones, and more. The information is automatically updated in the Everbridge system. When their contact information changes, they may update the information through secure user profiles.
